Home Sweet Home

I’m back now…awesome time with the “Metro” crew! Lots of spirit and enthusiasm, which made the time amazing :D A big CONGRATS to the entire Metro Homeschool Robotics team!!! You guys rule hard! B-) :D

Traveling Again….

So guys, on Saturday I’m going to be traveling again…sort of. I am going to Sedalia, KS for a robotics competition that my friends are going to and so I’m tagging along with them ;) I promise to take some photos while I’m there and I intend to document my day-trip experience lol. It is something like a day-trip, being that it’s only 3 hours away. The longest I’ve been riding in a car straight was something to the tune of 24+ hours! So a 3-hour trip is practically nothing :D In truth, I’m kind of proud about that.

Oh, one more thing. You may be asking/wondering what exactly I mean by “robotics” (which, by the way, is an extremely vague description of alot of fun). Well, I’m going to explain exactly what I mean. Lets start from the top and work our way down: BEST Inc. is a company whose sole mission is to get teens (and middle-schoolers) making robots that actually do something…other than fighting each other. We’ve all heard about the robots that do that! lol So basically this company (BEST Inc.) designs a game that gives a challenge to students: build a robot in 6 weeks that is capable of winning the game they made up! Whether it is organizing plastic Easter eggs, filled with magnets, according to their magnetic field, or transporting large numbers of golf balls to a specific place, it’s always a fun and challenging task. The game changes every year and hundreds of students get to partake of an unforgettable experience. I was privileged to be one of those students; the team I was a part of, Metro Homeschool Robotics, was loaded with great people, several of whom I will be friends with for life!

So, that’s where I’m going; a place loaded with future scientists and engineers to watch a BEST Robotics showdown! Now that’s a great kind of crazy!
